Bike Day!!

Today is Bike Day at work! Pretty much the kids brought their bikes, or scooters, or skateboards and ride around the parking lot. It's nice and empty since it's summer. The kids love it.



I decided I would also teach them hand signals for bike riding, then set up a path to follow and use their hand signals.



There was one girl who showed up in the middle of the ride and seriously was on her bike for 5 seconds when she crashed her bike into someone else and fell down scraping both her knees.

She was fine.

I told her so.

She cried for 30 seconds.

The trick is to act like it's no big deal, then the child will be fine and calm and wont be bawling in your ear. The problem is other people who freak out and make it sound all bad and worse than it is. Then the kid starts freaking out.

So...

to everyone out there...

PLEASE GO AWAY AND STOP SCARING PEOPLE!! IT'S NOT THAT BAD!!!

Today I had the wonderful opportunity to hang out with my fav girl EMMA!!

Here is our story:

Once upon a time, A little girl named Emma came over to her good friend Becky's house to hang out.
They sat down and enjoyed a wonderful feast of ham and cheese sandwiches. Then they finished up their supper with some dried blueberries! They were a little bit sour, but they enjoyed them anyways.


After their delicious meal they strapped on their beautiful slippers and headed out side to take a stroll



Along the way they came across a playground. They decided the best way to pass this area was to play on it. So that's what they did.

They climbed to the highest platform...


And slid down the tallest slide...


And stopped for frequent water breaks...


Until it was time to return home where they had ice cream and dreamt beautiful dreams!

A Bicycle

Today I met a friend at the mall.
I rode Brandon's bike.
Half way there both tires were flat.
I was very tired by the time I got there.

July 20th. A child on the beach

Today's pictures are care of a young boy from the beach.
I don't know his name or age, but he was very entertaining to watch.
He reminded me of all the great things of being a kid at the beach.
I hope you enjoy watching his antics.

One Year

Today is our one year anniversary. It's crazy to think how fast time flies. We went away for a few days to the coast in celebration. Woo-Hoo!!

Here we are after one year!





Obviously still having fun. :)

The year has been interesting and looking back I'm not sure I could tell you everything that has happened.

Brandon and I have made some new goals for our second year, just some things we want to improve upon. But for me personally I'm going to try something that I tried once before which is doing a photography journal.

I tried doing one a few years ago and probably would have continued but printing out the pictures for every day was hard.
Essentially it's daily journaling with pictures. I would print out a picture for each day of the year as the year went on. For example if I went to a concert then I would print a picture of the concert and maybe journal something in there. Sometimes it would be big, sometimes small. A quote, a song, or something completely random.
I think I made it a month. lol
So instead I have decided to try making my blog my year long picture journal.
Some days it will be one and some days it will be more.
Consider this day one.
